Operating System Updates

Keeping your computer up to date is one of the most important steps in protecting yourself and your computer from malicious software and criminals. It will also help you computer run faster and more efficiently. To keep you computer updated follow the steps below:

For Microsoft updates 

1. Open Internet Explorer (IE)
2. Go to http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupdate/
3. Select the link “Get high-priority updates (recommended)”
4.  Review and Install Updates
5. After the update is complete, restart the computer if necessary.

For Apple Macintosh updates

1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple Menu.
2. Choose Software Update from the View menu.
3. Click Update Now.
4. Select the items you want to install, then click Install.
5. Enter an Admin user name and password.
6. After the update is complete, restart the computer if necessary.
