Change Password for Exchange on Mobile Devices

If your phone/tablet has been set up to synchronise with your Exchange email account, you will need to update the UniKey password stored on your handset each time you reset your UniKey password. This will ensure your email, contacts and calendars are synchronised between your Exchange account and your device.

To do this for an iPhone/iPad, you need to:

  1. Tap Settings.
  2. Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Tap your active Exchange account.
  4. Tap Account
  5. Replace the current password with your new password. 


To do this on an Android phone such as a Samsung Galaxy, you need to:

  1. Tap on your Email app. 
  2. Open the Settings menu (on a Galaxy phone, this is located by pressing the Settings button to the left of the Home button).
  3. Tap on you Email account.
  4. Tap More settings.
  5. Tap Exchange Server Settings. 
  6. Replace the current password with your new password.

Some Android phones may have a slightly different menu configuration and Email app. If you cannot find the password settings, please look at your handset’s instructional documentation or contact the ICT Helpdesk on 9351 6000 (x16000 on internal phones).
